Homecoming (2022) is a digital map that highlights the return of life to the recently burnt forests across the region of Aseer. A collection of digital material gathered and weaved together to create a visual tapestry of various elements including an orange fire-loving fungi - that play an important role in balancing the soil - as well as a 1400 years old tree in the center of a village that has survived the fire. The work celebrates the return of vegetation to these forests but also attempts through this campaign to reestablish the sense of kinship between people and these few forests that hardly exist in the region.
